Pushing forward the more AFFORDABLE shoes for us women that can not afford the ones that are $500 & UP! For us women that want to be able to eat and shop, instead of just shopping and having to go an entire month without eating. Due to the fact they suffered from buying those $1,200 shoes, which was actually more than their ENTIRE rent. But be careful. Looking at my shoes, will have you saying, "Those shoes are ______!" consistently...ENJOY!

It’s Just Not Fair…

This past week I've been plotting on purchasing a pair of Designer shoes. I went to Nordstrom first because that is where I used to work. I looked through their look book and found NOTHING. On the sales floor they had a pair of red Jimmy Choo pumps that I thought were to die for. The only thing is that they are patent. I'm not into patent. The material irks me; in fact I have a pair of patent heels that I have YET to wear. I think I will just give them away. I also saw a few Valentino shoes… they were okay, but I knew in my heart that I would not be able to fit them. I even went to King of Prussia, in Pennsylvania, to go to Niemen Marcus and see what they had to offer me. I talked to a sales woman, whom I thought was very nice. I personally thought the sales associates were going to treat me like I was no one due to the fact I had shopping bags from cheaper stores. I honestly don't think you should treat anyone any different just because how they carry themselves. You never know, they could be a millionaire. Take the original Rick Ross for instance, yes, he was a millionaire drug dealer, but NO ONE knew that because of the way he carried himself. He looked like a bum off of the street.
Back to the subject at hand, as I was conversing with the sales woman we were talking about European shoe sizes. See you have to understand, I love shoes, and otherwise I wouldn't have this shoe blog! But it's hard for me to find shoes at time. I wear a size eleven.

"The pink sheep of the family."... Alexander... I Wish You Could Stay...

"I think the idea of mixing luxury and mass-market fashion is very modern — wearing head-to-toe designer has become a bit passé. It's a new era in fashion — there are no rules. It's all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together."
-Alexander McQueen

At the age of 40, Lee "Alexander" McQueen was found lifeless in his home today, in London, England.

Today we pay homage to one of the GREATEST designers known to man, Lee "Alexander" McQueen.

I remember watching red carpets and hearing actresses and actors saying, "I'm wearing Alexander McQueen." I would think to myself, "Wow! Who is this designer!" I was just thinking to myself months ago if I were to ever have an internship for annnnnny designer it would be Alexander McQueen. As a British designer he defined fashion with the illuminating thoughts within his mind. You could always count on him to NEVER repeat the same thing twice and always become flabbergasted at his elevated dernier cri.

BB: Blizzard... NOT COOL!

If you haven't heard already, unfortunately the Northeast was hit with their second blizzard within a week's frame... Which is where I am... The snow is being so rude to my nature that its not even funny. Going outside to shovel will not work for me. BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE! I'm still going to Miami next month and TRUST ME! I cannot wait honeyyy!!!! I have my outfits put together in my mind. Day outfits, afternoon outfits, going out outfits, and possibly getting it 'in' outfits, lol. Let me stop! Oh! And let me not forget my shoes! Damn it! I need to get bigger luggage!

I know that I will be coming back looking CHOCOLATE. I'm a dark-skin sistah, but the sun always puts a lovely shine and coat of complexion on you. I just wish I was still working out. I need to re-up on my gym membership. It just expired 3 weeks ago, which is when I stopped going.

So for future notice, if you see post that start with "BB:", please know that it stands for "Blackberry Post". Meaning that it came from my blackberry. Just know that I'm doing my best.

Yes, Stella McCartney does design sneakers! Their nothing too fancy, but they're doable. Nothing to extra like Pastry sneakers. I just don't believe that the sneakers should cost as much as they do. Personally you can always find an alternate.

Crazy Alexander

As crazy as Alexander McQueen's shoe designs are, should we have some type abhorrence for him due to his artistic value? Of course his shoes look unrealistic and sometimes non-flabbergasting. In my personal opinion, I rather have someone with an unwise and foolish inventive designs, than have someone that always reiterates the same design and/or just adding one design to it each season, just so it can’t be considered as the “same ‘exact’ shoe. McQueen defines fashion and I truly admire that… I just wish I could afford his designs.
