I've been thinking lately about when I took my trip to Atlanta back in October. I went to visit a friend, whom goes to Spelman, and I never thought that from just that trip alone would actually make me want to move hundreds of miles away from my family to start a new and exciting life there. I got to discover new lives, fashion, and different foods. I also gained many friends. But besides that I got to see one of the greatest malls besides the Garden State Plaza Mall and King of Prussia Mall. THE LENOX MALL! Glorious! Pure Glorious. I didn't have time to travel the entire mall, but from what I was able to see it made me want to cry! *sigh*
My true reason to this post is
to explain to you the most important fashion shoe there was down there. The Polo Ralph Lauren Holden Strap & Buckle Tall Boot. I remember going south to see my family when I was younger and even then Polo was the "ISH"! I was primarily on Morehouse and Spelman's campus, and there was plenty of different styles, but just about EVERY guy managed to own a pair of these boots. It made me upset a little bit because it allowed me to believe that eventually all the guys there really did have the SAME exact style.
After returning home back North, about a month or so I was walking through the Gallery in Philly and saw an entire row of these Polo boots in a window. It made me put my head down and keep walking. The only reason I did that was because up North, they disrespect ppl of the South style. They say they're slow pace with fashion and clueless. They say that have no idea what looks good and doesn't, now all of a sudden they want to wear these Polo boots that they thought was horrendous? PUH-LEASEEEEE! I'm open to fashion, but don't talk trash about something or someone's style, then turn around and mock everything from head to toe!
I admit, going to Atlanta and seeing those boots made me want to purchase them, but that was my first time seeing them. Even now they have a similar pair designed by UGG, but there are wayyyyyy too many females with them on. I truly don't like walking somewhere and every other girl I see has them on... I'll PASS.
